The record label Cascine has released its first interactive 360-degree music video for the Seahawks track Eyes of the Moon, thanks to the Brooklyn-based animator and illustrator Nicole Ginelli that has had this innovative idea.
The inspiration came from the computer games she played growing up in the early 1990s, like Spectre. The hypnotising effects were built out in the Cinema 4D and then edited all together in After Effects.
Watch the video above and use your cursor to shift the perspective. You’ll spot a few shapes that appear and reappear. The appearance of certain symbolic shapes continually sync and correspond to specific elements in the song. In the end, the video shows the viewer a series of universes that are both familiar and foreign.
